The Plot:-

Before plunging deeply into the intricacies pertaining d plot of this Delightful Magnum Opus....first let's understand briefly as to ""what is ASTRA all about??""

Well the aforesaid is a Celestial Weapon(with Spiritual Powers)which could be of any shape and kind(only after invoking few Mantras into it)

So according to the story in Ancient India when the Himalayas collided with the Brahm Shakti(Supreme Power)it produced various Astras(weapons of celestial powers)...thus the most powerful amongst all The Brahmastra is to be saved from the evil eyes and hands of Dev and his malicious army...and how Shiva our Ranbir Kapoor does that is what Brahmastra is all about

So laconically put:-

Brahmastra is all about Shiva(who is The Agni Astra/The Fire Weapon)....as to how as a commoner...also who's a confused orphan...gains all this power unknowingly...clueless to his linkage with Brahmastra....

It's a journey well explained related to all The Astras this Earth. ..Brahmaand...is made of...Thus...""The Fire"" is the first part of the Triology...rest to come is Water and Air(Jal and Vaayu) I guess!!!

For being thoroughly authentic and for being Purely INDIAN...our first Bollywood Scifi Action and Adventure Flick that matches the fine nuances of Hollywood!!!

SOMETHING THAT V ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF!!!!

I was zapped by the magical 3D Effects never seen before...spellbindingly beautiful..that uplifted my spirits profoundly along with the surreal yet scintillating music of Pritam that transcended me to a Fairyland never wanting to return....ever!!!

KESARIYA!!!.....IS A WINNER....

....and Pritam just slayed it with this one song....AND NAILED IT VERY HARD DOWN THERE IN MY MIND BODY AND SOUL...and am just mad about this one song of lately!!

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat's chemistry...actually ignited and added that extra Fire...the heat must've felt in the Whole of Brahmaand of course!!!...

YOU CAN'T IGNORE MOUNI ROY....THE CYNOSURE OF THIS FLICK BESIDES VFX..YES!!!!

Go with ur eyes closed and feel proud...go and fall in love with this flick!!

I CAN STILL WATCH IT 2 TIMES MORE IN THE THEATRES...YUP!!! IT'S THAT GOOD

The Weight of Silence

Now when most of the time when am curled up on my bed reading this thrilling tale of two missing gals....I fondly reminisce those kid old days when I used to be curled up the whole day reading for hours and hours in my fav corner of my room...those days of summer holidays well spent!! Also i remember once mom shooing me away telling ""u r still young for James Hadley Chase""and she would always read a prologue when selecting to hand me one😂😂

My mom's huge collection of novels from all genres never prompted me to join a library then!!... so after graduating from Enid Blyton my love for thrillers started with Berkeley Grey's ""Nightmare House"" and also can't forget Nancy Drew the famous sleuth...the character penned by Carolyn Knee and my first crush....and then!!!...when I was considered an adult enough!!...I straightaway made a plunge for James Hadley Chase ...later Sidney Sheldon...Irving Wallace...Ken Follet and the likes followed suit!!! Fondly all these memories come gushing back now ... So the crux remains that ""whenever a book in hand..u've got a friend for life!!""

Of lately it's Heather Gudenkauf's writing prowess that am mesmerized with!!...Surprisingly the Debutant Author has penned her debut novel with such finesse and intrigue that just like a current...it pulls u deep inside an ocean filled with mystery.... gradually pushing u much further and engulfing u in a whirpool like twist and turns till the last page...leaving u completely exasperated!! and what makes this novel of her's differ from the rest is that each character in the novel has a full fledged chapter dedicated to them taking the story forward from their own perspective when given an individual space......thus helping the reader to understand the psyche of each character to decide whom to blame!!...

So the story revolves around a seven year old girl Calli the Protagonist.... who hasn't spoken a word since she was four and as per the aforementioned title suggests....The Weight of Silence looms eversince....as to why she stopped talking??....were those words that were whispered into her ears by her father had to do someting with her silence??...also the mystery looms around Calli and her best pal Petra's sudden disappearance in the woods in the night... Why it's even more shocking is the fact that few years back just like Calli and Petra...a girl had disappeared in the night from her home when she was laid on the bed to sleep...only to be found murdered with her body mutilated... deep in the woods!!

Heather Gudenkauf definitely knows as to how to hold the attention of the reader and is going to stay here forever as she has the command over her thrilling tales of intrigue and suspense...and the way she tells them will leave zapped completely!!

Kalank

"Kalank is not a Kalank" I insist!!

With a fairytale kind of a setting... Kalank will struck u by it's grandeur and opulent sets leaving u mesmerised...zapped and bedazzled completely.......the captivating beauty of Husnabad and cinematography will haunt u for ages to come...will make u gape and gawk in wondermen!!.... asking for more!!.... Kalank is literally a visual treat for your senses.. Yes there are few snags too....like Sanju and Sonaxi have gone waste completely in this flick. Also the length of the flick could've been cut short...some scenes did stretch way too long which could have been edited for sure!! In this tale of romance told passionately yet beautifully!!!... Yes the aforesaid are the only few snags that I could think of otherwise So why should u watch it?? Watch it for Madhuri'sake...she will surely make u gasp in delight...her aura....her magnificent screen presence will certainly make ur heart go Dhak Dhak for sure...like so many times!!....yes she still has it in her!! Watch it for Varun and Alia's amazing and sizzling chemistry that creates fireworks in the flick....they simply just excel in acting and will surprise u just like each time... Not to mention here the city of Husnabad where the flick is set!!!...the surreal beauty will make u fall in love with it and will prompt u to get ensconced in it's surreal beauty for eternity!!.... Also Aditya Roy Kapoor needs special mention here who will not disappoint u too....he seems to have finally carved a niche for himself with this movie!!...I do hope so!! Crux?? If u appreciate true beauty and art!! Kalank will surely leave a lasting impression on u... For Madhuri!!...u don't need be an ardent admirer like me..watch it for her..also for Varun and Alia's sake who will truly impress u with their brilliant acting prowess and screen presence... Pritam with his pulsating music makes this flick even more memorbale... Not to forget the city Husnabad and it's enchanting beauty and the cinematography will leave u craving for more!! Highly recommended!! Would give it 4****stars out of five!! P.S:-don't let these pathetic critics influence ur decision anymore!!

Gully Boy

""You didn't review Ranveer's previous flick Simmba??"" asked a friend whose a silent observer...like many in my Facebook Account ""Because that was directed by Rohit Shitty whom I just loath"" replied I... Yes I call him Shitty as his flicks are not my class really..Actually it's the Director that am more passionate about rather then the Stars....And Zoya Akhtar is one such director whose flicks works as a food for my poetic soul..just like Bhansali!! So Gully Boy as the name suggest is a story which is musically yet magnificently told!!...about a Street Boy fighting for survival and how he fulfills his far fetched dreams to become the Rapper and winning the contest....Here Zoya juxtaposes the life of the rich and the poor of Bombay beautifully!!...which is actually based on a true life of Street Rappers(Divine and Naezy).... and yes Bombay never looked so appealing!! The forte of Zoya's magnificent way of telling a story is Cinematography ofcourse...but also those poetry filled silent moments which we witnessed in Zindaghi Na Milegi Dobara or in Dil Dhadkne Do....which am truly mad about...made me gasp in delight here as well... The soul of the flick lies in the lyrics...a true essence that strike the right chords of ur sentiments....which were beautifully penned by Javed Akhtar Sahaab...also by Divine and Naezy!! For Ranveer and Alia less said the better...they are among the best lot... the brigade of young talents that we have today!! For now and this flick...Ranveer is a true Rapper also where he sang along with Divine and Naezy(on whose life this flick is actually based on)... Though Kalki has a small role but work as a breather in the flick...she adds that glamour and chutzpah ..looked stunning and took my breath away...just like she always does(yes there could be Jacky and Padukone..but Kalki is Kalki for me) Crux??... So with some awesome performances along with divine music and brilliant Starcast...this movie shouldn't be missed for sure!! Hats off to Zoya and Ranveer Ten on Ten!!

Zero

Let's start as to why should you watch it??!! Well it's an out and out SRK's movie!!...so what does it make it so special??...His impressive entry in the flick...like never seen before..yes!! ...Also his completely changed persona..his typical mannerisms we all are so accustomed with!!(will be missed here immensely) His character Bauaa Singh is totally a never seen SRK before!!...he is sly..and yet he's so cute to win your hearts!!.... Watch A Never Seen SRK Before Watch it for NASA....first movie ever to have been shot there in and out....never been so upfront and so close ever!!....yes its The SRK's magic and charm that worked...that they obliged!!...u must have seen it in NGC or Discovery...but never in a Bollywood flick before....the second half is actually like a cherry on the cake...where a simple dwarf from Meerut makes his journey to the Mars!!..which bis not to be missed Yes watch it for Katrina....she brings in the glamour...in every true sense of the word.... Watch it for Mrs Kohli....she's a surprise package all the time....yes!!.. Watch it for the VFX...yes that's how it should be!! To wrap it up....all I can say....well am glad SRK did this flick....His best so far after Chak De India...Swades...My Name Is Khan... Yes this is the SRK I love and adore....was never an ardent admirer of him....But Bauaa Singh stole my heart for ever!! Ten on Ten

Thugs Of Hindostan

Frankly speaking I have stopped listening to these nonsensical blabbering of these Critics.....for they have always mislead me an umpteen times and had always wondered like ""what was there not to like??""when watching the flick on small screen!!... But since few years down the line have been following my own instincts adamantly( after having become selective of course!)....for the sake of my love for the flicks and for watching them on big screen!!... And Thank God I didn't follow the circus!!....the non stop dissuasion for not to watch The Thugs Of Hindostan....which compels me to smell a rat?? I wanted to watch the Thugs and was very eager to do so for quite obvious reasons.... Yes!!...literally I was like zapped!!.. was spellbinded...intrigued...enticed and captivated watching Them!! Together Amir and Amitabh cast their magic spell on big screen to captivate u...enthral u!!(their pulsating chemistry and camaraderie...Amir's wit and humour...Amitabh's action...his aura..his screen presence at this age..mind blowing) Sana Sheikh will make u gape in wonderment for her marvelous action skills and stunts...Katrina on the other hand will make u gasp in delight by her effervescent charm!! Never seen before the Magnificent and very Impressive Individual Entries of all the three main star casts!! It's totally an edge of the seat entertainer...not even for a flick of second will ur mind wander elsewhere!! Excellent VFX...Background Score..Direction...Performnaces...a tight Script what makes the Thugs so special to watch!! Crux:- Firstly it's not about being hit or flop...it's all about entertainment it's all about quality....like Shaan...Jane Bhi Do Yaroun Andaaz Apna Apna flopped then but is considered a cult cinema now!!...and I can watch them innumerable times!! Secondly make ur own decisions..never let a critic impose his thoughts on u Yes Thugs did win my heart and u will love them too!!

Sanju

It's only the magic of RK and Sanju which is making the makers go gaga over the box office collection!!! Sanju is a hit and will always be one!!...movies will come and go...stories will be written and forgotten....but this story is gonna stay!!!... cause Sanju is Sanju!!! R.K did a commendabe job which deserves all the accolades...his brilliance and his acting prowess will make u gape in wonderment whether u r actually watching Sanju or is it RK instead??... The makers had been bold with their flicks and subjects prior...but this time I guess they wanted to play safe ...like one pivotal part of Sanju's life was missing with Baal Thakrey where Sanju was warned politely by him to stay away front politics...some more essential parts were missing too!!... Like the makers could've thrown some light on his Daughter in the U.S also!!...And how he met Maanyata and married her(his marriage too had created a ruckus in his personal life making his relations with his sisters go awry)... Still Kamli...Sanju's Gujarati best friend will leave u in splits...I laughed my lungs out..Actually!!!(the actor did an awesome job incorporating the Gujarati Dialect so well...like "Sex Pear" for Shakespeare..."Snakes" for Snacks!! Crux:- You don't have to be a Baba's/a Sanju's fan to enjoy this flick....go for the sake of fun...or RK...he's a wonderful actor indeed!!....and for some truth...for clearing the shroud""yes!!...obviously Sanju's not a terrorist"" ....
